I highly recommend going to see the faith-based movie, I Can Only Imagine.
The storyline is based on the life of Bart Millard, the lead singer for MercyMe. Bart shares his personal story of growing up with an abusive father. Early on Bart realizes he has a gift for singing, as it gives him peace. Because of his faith in Christ, Bart is eventually able to forgive father and restore their relationship. Today, Bart and the band MercyMe continue to use their God-given gifts to minister to others through music, who are also struggling with life challenges.
The only thing I would have added to the movie, was for the real Christian singers, Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith, to somehow really be in the movie. Otherwise, you will need tissues for this movie, as it’s definitely worth seeing.
