Wishing all of you a Happy New Year! Many of us use this time to dwell on this past year’s accomplishments and set New Year’s resolutions. Yet, we often forget to include God as part of our plan.
We can easily feel defeated because we let our past define us. We need to realize that is not so, and that God actually goes before us.
From Revelations 21:4
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the old order of things has passed away.
Because in Revelations 21:5
And he who was seated on the throne said, Behold, I am making all things new.” Also, he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
My prayer for you in this New Year:
Heavenly Father,
Help us not to be afraid of failure, but to embrace it knowing you, God, are there paving a new way for us. Strengthen our resolve to push forward, not as the world would want us to be, but under Christ’s direction.
I ask for you, Father God, to shine your favor and blessings upon your people. May your light and love be our guide in the New Year.
