Recently, I discovered Scratch.com, which is children’s programming app. What exactly is Scratch? Basically, it is a very simplistic form of teaching children how to code. It challenges children to build a program with bright blocks of code to create or solve a project.
Here is a great video to watch that explains how to install Scratch and to start coding: Introduction to Scratch Programming Language for Education.
The Scratch Studio teaches a student what the stage is, how to add a sprite character to their projects and even how to code a sprite to move around on the screen. One can even select different backgrounds, characters, set timers for action, and even draw your own images or objects to add layers to the stage set.
