My Super Shadow

Do you have a favorite beloved pet? This post is dedicated to my awesome pup. Happy 6th Birthday goes out to my Super Shadow!

Six years ago I decided to adopt a female Guiding Eyes for the Blind German Shepherd Puppy. Shadow has the best temperament, in other words, she very friendly and doesn’t bark a lot. It is one of the best decision I have ever made.

Many people ask how did I get such a beautiful pup? I volunteered for 8 years as a puppy home socializer for the organization. With Shadow, one weekend turned into three in a row, which is highly unusual for a volunteer to watch the same pup more than once. By the third weekend, I didn’t want to let her go. And the rest is history as they say.

If dogs could literally talk, then I am sure Shadow would tell you that she read the guide dog training manual and said nope, I would rather be a ’furrever’ pup.

Shadow is the best gift God ever gave me. My pup gives me a reason to face every day with a smile on my face. So here is to many more puppy adventures with my Super Shadow.
