Today, I start a second session of Library Literacy. The first set of students worked great in teams and their presentations were enlightening to hear as they discussed issues that plague our society for decades and still very relevant today.
Such issues as homelessness, school drop out rates, wealth and inequality, race and education, and religion and law. Some students have lived through difficult times. The students are very motivated to continue their education, so they can make a difference when released.
