My Christmas Elves

Do you ever drive around to look at Christmas lights? I do. What I find is no two houses are decorated alike, as we get closer to celebrating the up coming holidays.

However, this time of year is always swamped for any college teacher, as I am preparing finals for students. So for myself in general doing anything for Christmas is put on the back burner.

Amazingly while I was grading papers this past weekend, some elf put up Christmas lights up on the outside of my home and the same elves got me flowers for my birthday! I say that’s a double whammy by my Christmas elves.

In December, other things I miss are seeing my Dad, who was a pastor at a nearby small country church, is to light the advent candles at church for each Sunday this month and helping my Mom decorate the Christmas trees at the church and our house for the holiday season.

What I am most grateful for is my brother and my nephew who help me all year with chores around my house, as I know I cannot do it all by myself. So this week’s blog is dedicated to them. I love you guys!

1 Peter 3:8 Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
