A big special “Thank You” goes out to Thrivent for sponsoring my ability to give back to my local community through their Action Team program. Each year I am able to do a little something extra special for those in need.
My action team project this month is to go shopping for sewing supplies for the women of Unshattered in Hopewell Junction, NY. Theses talented women make hand crafted handbags to help support themselves after they’ve completed the Hoving Home’s Christian Women’s Recovery program. I look forward to treating them to lunch and visiting with them to hear how the women are continuing to beat addiction, as they put their faith in Christ for guidance.
