Why is it that some people just never grow up? While I am the youngest, and yet somehow I am totally opposite of my older brother. My brother is very much mechanically inclined and I am one that needs to read the instructions. Both of us were raised in the same household, but I tend be the responsible one with book smarts one and he is the dreamer with street smarts.
Recently, my brother said he likes to set new goals by writing, “What he wants to be when he grows up?” Somehow, he also tends to think the one who has the most toys wins. While I prefer to pray and let God decide what I should do and to provide for my needs.
In reflection, both of us have vastly different skill sets and that’s okay; because it is how God designed us. Today, I like to encourage you to focus on being what God wants you to be. Remember, we are all God’s children and special in His eyes. May this verse inspire you to keep growing in the Lord.
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
