Have you ever made the same mistake twice? There are times that people backslide and mess up no matter how hard we try. Because of sin and temptation, it is inevitable to be perfect. The reason is because the Devil seeks to rob, kill, and destroy God’s people.
Through repentance of our sins God forgives, as He is our Heavenly Father. This doesn’t mean we can continue making the same mistake over and over without ramifications. However, God truly knows our hearts, and He is our helper in times of trouble.
In this New Year, I pray that we all strive to be more like Jesus, our Lord and Savior. May we learn to seek forgiveness from God, as well as, forgive others as God forgives us. May this verse motivate you to be more like Jesus:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness -1 John 1:9.
