Recently, I watched Cengage’s Ice-Breakers webinar video. The Presenter is Shawn Orr, who is a Director at the Center for Innovation and Teaching Excellence, as a Professional Instructor Communication Studies at Ashland College. She shares some really great ice-breakers to try with your students both in class and for online courses.
Professor Orr explores ways to use ice-breakers and topic starters to socialize, stimulate, motivate, and prime your students for success. She also states that your students will go from being passive observers to active participants in their education. It’s worth the watching!
