God’s Woodshed

Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” Romans 12:19

Have you ever experienced being put in a terrible or horrible situation that you get so mad you want to take out in some one else? The weekend’s guest pastor shared that his youngest child was killed and how he had to let go of his rage and anger that was inside of him.

This type of response is only natural to want to seek revenge and we know that it does happens. We often want to take things into our own hands, which is a mistake. What we should do is just let God deal with that other person. We only have to ask God is for the truth to prevail.

Always remember that you won’t win trying to wrestle with God, so stay out of His woodshed. God is in control and His perfect will shall happen. Vengeance is God’s and His alone!
