Turn The Tables

Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves – Matthew 21:12.

Unfortunately our lives have been turned upside down due to this pandemic. Some continue to raise chaos in certain cities. We are hear some talk of police reform. But will there be any training in schools in regards to equality and the proper ways to have healthy debates?

While I often suggest we be like Jesus, even He had a breaking point. The passage above, reveals Jesus turns the tables on the money changers and those selling doves in the temple. Jesus despised merchants exchanging money inside the temple v because it should be kept holy, as the church is a house for prayer not business.

If Jesus was here on Earth today, I believe He be appalled with the actions of some. I pray for those families of those who have been shot and killed or those who were injured from recent civil unrest. I pray for swift action from our local government and military to restore order. I pray God heal our nation because violence and destruction of property doesn’t solve anything.

We need to stand up in our beliefs, and turn the tables to bring prayer and God back into our society and schools. Jesus is the solution to break the cycle of hate.
