Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? Matthew 21:42.
This month, I am volunteering at the Hoving Home in Garrison, NY. We are setting up content using NetSupport School Software for their new digital classroom. We learned how to create a database of questions and then create exams for students this week. A cool feature is it allows the teacher to send and collect files directly to and from students to work on.
Another really neat feature is it’s instant q&a session with students in real time. A teacher can launch applications on a student’s pc, share their screen with students, and monitor what students are doing on their PCs. The Learning Management System feature I like the most is the ability to lock the students PCs to ensure their listening to the lecture.
This educational program has the ability to create teacher/student journals and lesson plans. Next week, I will learn how to add students to a class. We will add MS-Office data files for students to complete projects and create a final exam for the technology course.
Like the verse above, we are building the digital course in pieces, as Jesus is the cornerstone of one’s foundation of true faith. We also learn from the same passage that we are all special in God’s eyes. Please join me praying for the success of the Hoving Home new career center.
