For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory – 2 Corinthians 1:20.
Ever have someone make a promise and not follow through? Why are some people so good at manipulating others? Isn’t it better to follow through than lose a friend or let down your family? Unfortunately, this happens to somebody every day. But why? A wiseman told me once it’s because a leper can’t change its spots. It is also due to some people don’t know how to respect other people’s request or time. Plain and simple because it’s not important to enough to them. History will continue to repeat itself over again, but only if you let it.
You may have to do things yourself or hire someone else. Do not let yourself get taken for a ride unless you truly trust the person even if family it is or not, always get it in writing. The emptiness of promises of pain and agony isn’t worth it. When we help others it is usually done out of love, but sometimes it can go the wrong way. But not if a lesson is learned, which is do not be stupid enough to fall for it twice.
However, there is one person who will never let you down. His name is Jesus! He walks with me and He talks with me. He goes before me. He keeps me from harm’s way. He truly blesses me. Jesus will do the same for you, if you let him. So here’s to empty promises going into my unanswered prayers jar. I trust God is just God. It will take a miracle, so here’s hoping for one. Amen!
