Who Has Your Attention?

We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away – Hebrews 2:1.

Today’s Sunday church service was from Hebrews 2, which was written for believers to commit themselves fully to Christ. We tend to take Jesus for granted and place God on a shelf instead of putting God first. God instructs us to pick up our cross and follow Him. We need to realize the costs not to trust God, as it would be far greater.

Chapter 2 is also written for those who have distanced themselves from Christ instead of running to Jesus. The church need each other. We need to stay in God’s Holy Word to stay strong in our faith. We need to pay attention to what God wants us to do and not what the world tells us to do. We are all sinners and we all need Christ in our lives. Like the verse one, we need to stop drifting through life and fully trust Jesus for direction.

Worldly things will fade away, but God’s Holy Word is remains the same throughout all generations. As Christians, we need to put on God’s armor daily to defend His Holy Word. God speaks, but are we listening? We must guard our hearts from evil. If we believe, then we have everlasting life. Don’t get caught without Christ. Pay attention to God for He will not let you down. God wants what is best for you. Let God be your anchor of your soul. Amen
