Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you – Luke 6:38.
Yes, the best part of the college Fall semester is Thanksgiving break. I am using this time off to catch up with grading and prepare a course final for my web design students. I enjoy reconnecting with beloved family and good friends, which is what Thanksgiving is all about. It is always fun spending time with those mean the most to me.
One tradition our folks engrained in us would be to say grace once as we all gather around the Thanksgiving table. We were taught to pray by thanking Jesus not only for the food, but to also share how He has blessed our lives this year.
Do you know that someone is alone this Thanksgiving? Try taking time to invite them to celebrate the holiday dinner festivities with you. We can all help each other to be grateful for the little things in life, to learn to cherish the good times of past beloved ones and make new memories by giving thanks together. I pray that you all have Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!
