Recently, I finished reading the book called, Just Do Something by Kevin DeYoung. The book was a quick interesting read, especially if you are facing a big decision in your life. Many of us sit on the fence waiting for God to tell them what to do, rather than taking a risk. Sometimes, it is best to wait for God’s perfect timing. But, if no one ever took a risk we as a society would still be in the stone-ages.
The book is filled with insightful Bible verses and written with a Christian perspective on how to do God’s will. The author states that we tend to say, “Let go and let God”, instead of doing anything. We often get caught up looking for the “will of God”, rather than to take action for change. The author also encourages us to pray for God’s guidance and weigh the options, but no matter what make a decision and trust God for the outcome.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect ~ Romans 12:2.
