Hope for Today

Romans 5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

We all make mistakes, but God does not keep a record of wrongdoings. Tough circumstances make each of us stronger. Know that God forgives you and wants what is best for you. Let God in, pray and ask Him for help. Jesus will surround you with His love and protection. Keep holding on and expect the unexpected because God is HOPE!

Potter’s Field Ministries

Today’s Sunday service guest speakers were Michael and Pam Rozell, the founders of Potter’s Field Ministries in Whitefish, Montana.

Its mission is to transform lives forever through winning souls, feeding the hungry, and making disciples. Isaiah 58:10.

The ministry trains young students to go into the mission field to share to the love of Christ to underprivileged children globally.

Garden Transformation

This past week I had the pleasure of volunteering to spruce up Unshattered Boutique’s front garden located o. Route 82 in Hopewell Junction, NY. Check out below the before and after photos of the transformation. Now when shoppers come they’ll see a nice a well-kept area, as customer’s first impressions are important to one’s retail store.

Though unlike God, He accepts us as we are broken or troubled. God picks us up, dusts us off, forgives us, and molds us into who we are to be in Him. Most of all, God loves us unconditionally no matter how much we mess up. Let God and His Holy Word transform you, so you can become more like His one and only son, Jesus, and want to serve Christ more.

Here are a couple of Bible verses about transformation to inspire you to trust God with your future.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Philippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Walter Hoving Home

I had the pleasure of attending a power lunch yesterday at the Walter Hoving Home in Garrison, NY. The motivational guest speaker was Carol Kent. She spoke about the 7 Principles of being a godly woman, which are:

1. Spend Time with God.
2. Pray to God.
3. Share God with others.
4. Ask questions.
5. Be compassionate.
6. Use your God-given gifts.
7. Show unconditional love.

I enjoyed getting to know the staff and some of the girls who are at the Christian home battling addiction. The women are offered the ability to grow in their faith through Biblical studies and learn valuable business skills to obtain a job once they graduate from the program.

God’s Masterpiece

Today’s sermon was based on the following verse:

Ephesians 2:10 – For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

We are God’s masterpiece, as each one of us are made in His own image. God gives each of us different skills and talents. We are to use these gifts to serve God, as a way to honor and glorify Him.

• What is your God-given skill?
• How are you using your gift to serve God?
• Have you thanked God for your talents?

Here is a prayer for you:

Heavenly Father, we come to You with open hearts today. Thank you, Lord, for the skills that you have bestowed upon each of us. Help us to use our God-given talents to serve You more. May we be an example of Your light and love to others. In Jesus name, Amen.
