Breathe

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalms 46:10.

Psalm 46 states that God is our refuge and strength in trouble. God is our strong tower. We can be a rock for others. But, are we ready to share Christ? Do we know the answers? We are to be the city on a hill.

What mountain is in your way? What to do when the Earth shakes? What do you when you are mad at your spouse? Are you living a godly example for others to see Hope in God.? The Lord is a very present help and is there 24×7. Trust God for His strength. We have no reason to fear, because God is near.

We can’t anything without God. There is no other God, but Him. While you may prepare for a flood, a fire could come. We must acknowledge that God is control. We must make God our refuge on a daily basis. Hurting people, hurt people. Only God can calm things. God loves us and knows what we need. God comforts us, so we can comfort others.

Jesus Matters!

Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth – John 17:17

First it was the pandemic, next was the wrongful death of George, then the rioting, which basically put an end to our quarantine. Everywhere you look you see black lives matter or all lives matter. Yet, I haven’t seen any sign saying that Jesus Matters!

In the verse above, we are reminded that Jesus is truth and so is His Holy Word. As believers, our freedom is knowing Christ. We need to be in communion with Jesus and studying God’s scripture. We need to examine our own lives to ensure that we are fully standing right before God.

Hopefully, the past few months of being confined at home has helped us see that not only is family important, but so is Jesus. I pray that we all learn to put Jesus first above others and make more time for Jesus, as He should matter most in our lives. May this blog motivate you to tell others that Jesus Matters!

Need Patience?

So that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises – Hebrews 6:12.

Yesterday, I could of used an extra dose of patience. I am finding being couped up is definitely getting to me. It hard to be motivated when we can’t actually go do anything without taking precautions.

From the verse above, if we are more like Jesus, then God reassures that we will receive His promises. By following Jesus, we strengthen our own faith and it can be accomplished by showing patience towards others.

For example, one way to train a pup to have patience is through repetitive practice using two simple words “Leave-it”. We learn patience and discipline through the repetitive practice with our pup. So technically, we can apply the same discipline to ourselves by leaving worldly things behind. We move forward in our faith with the ultimate prize of being with Jesus.

I pray that we can be slow to speak and to be more understanding when dealing with others. May our faith in Jesus increase, and the worldly actions within us decrease. May this devotion motivate you to be more patient like Jesus.

National Day of Prayer

The theme for this year’s National Day of Prayer is “Pray God’s Glory Across the Earth,” and the chosen Bible verse is from Habakkuk 2:14: “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”

Today, is the National Day of Prayer! Please join me along with thousands of others today, as we take part in uplifting out great nation to the Lord in prayer. There are seven areas areas to pray for the special day of prayer which are: Government, Businesses, Schools, Churches, Communities, Families, and Military.

For we know when two or three are gather in Jesus name, He is in the midst. Through prayer I have seen great things happen especially we are in agreement with another. There is no denying that God moves in mysterious ways.

We also know that God’s not dead, He is surely alive! He’s living on the inside, He’s roaring like a Lion! (Newsboys). For no one knows the hour of Jesus’s return, but it will be in the twinkling of an eye and God will surely redeem His people.

Be ready my friends, Jesus it is coming again. There will be no turning back. Heaven awaits those who believe. We shall live where there is no pain, nor sorrow, for all eternity in Paradise with our Lord and Savior. I hope to see you and thousands elsewhere climbing Jacob’s Ladder one day soon to get to God’s mansion in the sky.

Sadness and Despair

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted – Matthew 5:4.

I write this blog with a heavy heart as America has lost over 50 thousand citizens that we know of due to covid19. While they may have been elderly or had underlying issues these individuals were someone’s loved one. No one should of died in the first place, but we must continue social distancing going forward. We want less die now and in the future should another wave come again in the fall.

Most of all, I pray for those who are grieving that they would feel the love of Christ around them today and in days ahead. I am asking God to give them peace and understanding during this time of great loss of the beloved family member. May God grant them comfort as they learn to cherish the good times and have the strength to move forward with their lives. In the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
