That the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God – Romans 8:21.
This year we seen freedom at its best and worst. NY alone has listed over 30,000 deaths to COVID-19. What is sadder is that because of the civil unrest there are less police patrolling on the streets crime is increasing in our cities.
The other night I literally watched a media clip of a drive by shooting of a father walking with his daughter, and he was basically shot in pure daylight for no reason. This child now is fatherless and we are left saying, “What did this vicious act prove?” Why is our freedom to walk the streets being ripped away from us like this?
Our children are no longer safe nor free, but scared to go outside for fear of being killed. Imagine the trauma this young girl has endured and the therapy she will need for days and years to come. All because we allow racism to divide us.
How can we be free, if we don’t feel safe? America rose up from the ashes of 9/11, we certainly can rise up again for safety’s sake of Freedom! We built the Freedom Tower, yet we arguing over statues instead of investing in what’s really necessary to protect our businesses, the people, and local neighborhoods.
I pray we can stand up in unity against the corruption and may we seek equality in a godly peacefully manner.
