Censorship by Big Techs

I am not surprised by the censorship by the big tech companies due to the violent riots at the capital last week. However, the act banding certain members infringes upon our 1st amendment freedom of speech. If big tech can do this to the President, then they can take away our right to the freedom of speech in the future if they dislike our own posts.

Where do we as a society draw the line? Due to other companies joining the band wagon, now other social platforms and e-commerce sites are banning our choices. Why is one side allow to speak and be heard and not the other? Must we always be political correct and have no decention. Are we going to let these monopolies restrict healthy economical competition?

Why can both sides learn to co-exist? Stop the violence, stop the hate! Will there ever be true government transparency? Granted those who caused harm should be held accountable for their actions of causing death and destruction. Instead of bickering, we need to promote peace and seek healing.

Furever Friends

Today, I was informed that Lexi, our beloved furever friend, crossed rainbow bridge yesterday. I am a bit beside myself, as Lexi was literally just visiting with us in NY from VA. She was a very smart and friendly pup. Lexi brought our family, so much joy during the most difficult times. It was if Lexi knew we were all grieving from the loss of our parents. She helped us to have hope to carry on and move forward with our lives. My folks absolutely adore my nephew’s family pup. My Dad’s nickname was ‘Laser Beam’ for Lexi because she could roll a ball in a perfect straight line with her nose. My Dad loved taking her for car rides. My pup, Shadow, loved playing fetch with her buddy, Lexi.

The funniest story I remember about Lexi, is when Dad called the cable company for service. The repair man drove down the driveway, so my Dad went outside with Lexi to meet him, but the cable guy refused to get out of his car because of the dog. You have to understand that Lexi was absolutely the most gentle pup and she wouldn’t hurt a flea. Some people just judge dog based on type and size, instead of getting to really know a pup. It all depends on the pup’s raiser, as to how a dog will behave. Way to go Lexi!, she made the cable guy into a big sissy. On the other hand, our UPS driver would often stop and give our puppies biscuits when doing deliveries in the neighborhood. Go figure?!

Yesterday, I was trying to explain to my pup Shadow, that Lexi had gone back home. Today, I find myself trying to explain that Lexi went to doggie heaven instead. Some say doggies know or can sense things. If Shadow is half as smart as her buddy Lexi, then Shadow already knows. I am glad that Lexi got to spend her last days playing ball with Shadow in my yard. I pray Lexi is sleeping peacefully and that God would comfort us. Lexi, was a beautiful pup and she certainly has left her paw prints on our heats and lives, as our furever friend.

Adversity

A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity – Proverbs 17:17.

This week, I was reminded that brothers were made for adversity. My older brother had a terrible accident while riding his quad. He was coming up out of the woods and took a left turn on the path either too tight, wide, or fast that caused him flip his quad and the quad landed on him. While the path was clear and he had driven it a zillion times, but unfortunately it had rained, so the ground and leaves were wet. His son posted it best that his Dad ate dirt.

He is in the hospital and he will be there rest of the week at least. He broke his collar bone, multiple ribs, and he has a collapsed left lung with a drain in it. The right side of his face is scratched up and he has a nice shiner. He is in major pain and it will take time for him to heal, completely recover, and regain his strength. Unfortunately, he can only have 1 visitor a day due to covid rules at hospital. Good news yesterday, is that the medical staff had him up and walking the hallways.

My brother has the tendency to live life on the edge, so life has never been boring with him in it. He needs to stop trying to be like Evel Knievel, who was his favorite idol while growing up. He wasn’t wearing a helmet, so he is very lucky he didn’t suffer head trauma. While this wasn’t his first accident, I can only hope and pray it’s his last. I shake my head and I thank God once again he survived. However, I know God has a hold on him and that Jesus ain’t finished with him yet. I thank you all for praying for his complete recovery. We will let you all know when he is back home.

If you ride a quad, a bike, a motorcycle, or even a horse or a big ole hog, then please for the love of God and your family wear a helmet! You are not invincible no matter how old you are.

Revelation 1

Today, we started studying the Book of Revelations in church. God gave us Jesus to be our eternal Savior. From Chapter 1 verse 8 stood out to me the most, which is where God states, “He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.”

Another verse that stands out is verse 3 that the time is near, which is the foretelling of Christ’s return. But no one knows when this will actually be. It will happen in a blink of an eye. We will be raptured and be in the presence of the Lord.

Are we getting close to that time? Yes, there are chips for our brains, there are more and more natural disasters, The biggest sign is that Israel is a nation. Are you ready? Are you saved? What are you waiting for? There is only one way to heaven.

God is going to return there is no doubt about. Don’t wait to accept Jesus as your personal Savior. Stop denying the truth. Trust God for this will happen. Don’t be caught without Jesus or you shall perish. Upon Christ’s return Christians will rise up and be with Jesus in heaven, as God has proclaimed this biblical promise as truth.

Stop suffering and start living for Jesus!

Where is God?

The rejection of Christ existed years ago in the Book of Psalms, but it is still very prevalent today. How can we reach others for Christ, especially when people’s walls are up and their hearts are harden. The world tells us we need this or that, but in retrospect all we truly need is Jesus.

Just like David in Psalm 42, 43, & 44, there will be times when we will face and suffer rejection to where we question, “Where God is?” Once we realize there is no choice, but God, it is only then will we learn to trust God and follow Him.

Know that God hears your prayers. For God’s favor is upon you through His light, even when our enemies are encamped around us or within us we can overcome our troubled situation.

Our suffering is only a battle scar for the glory of God. We must not be dismayed, but remain loyal to God no matter what comes our way. We need to allow God’s Holy Word to direct your response and accept God that His plan is best.
