Are You Embracing Jesus?

Today’s Sunday Service was from Hebrews 6 where God tells us not to lose our love for His Holy Word. God explains no believer can lose their salvation, but one can easily fall away. God instructs to know what we believe and to continue to grow in our faith.

We are to build a good foundation built on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. We need to know more than the elementary biblical principles. We are to heed the warnings in Hebrews and not to depart from the living God. Despite persecution or difficult times we need not drift away from God. Our Heavenly Father is going to judge us on what we have done for Him.

Instead of putting Jesus on the shelf and each of us should embrace Him. Christ tells us that we need to perfect our understanding and knowledge of Christ’s grace and mercy. We should be sharing and witnessing to not just to other followers, but those who are unsaved. God tells us to repent of our sins if we want to be with Jesus. There is only one way to Christ. Is Jesus living in you today?

Baltimore Bound!

Last night, we saw the biblical Queen Esther theatrical show at Sight and Sound in Lancaster, PA. it was totally awesome. The main verse was Be still and know that I Am God. We tend go back in time when visiting the Amish farmland country. One can’t help but to check out the Amish and their beautiful horses and buggies trotting about town.

One thing I especially like was that the show mentioned was to remember where you came from. So today, we went to our family reunion in Middle River, MD. It has been two years since we’ve seen everyone. So we will enjoy hanging out on the water along with eating tons of blue shell crabs topped with old bay seasoning and corn on the cob. Then hopefully top it off with an egg custard snow ball with marshmallow for dessert.

There isn’t nothing better than being with my Baltimore family. Cheers to our folks in heaven who I know are smiling down on all of us for carrying on the crab feast family tradition.

Be Not Afraid

Do not be afraid of them; the LORD your God himself will fight for you – Deuteronomy 3:22.

Did you know the phrase “Fear Not” phrase is found throughout the Bible 365 times? God tells us specifically not to be afraid of anything. Why is this? It is human nature to be scared at some point in our lives. However, as believers in Christ Jesus, we do not need to be fearful. We just simply have to faith that God will protect us at all times.

So the next time something goes bump in the night or you get nervous over anything just remember that God is with you. There is nothing in the world greater than God. With God nothing is impossible to conquer. Tell God your great big problem and let Him deal with it!

I pray to our Heavenly Father that you would find comfort knowing that God is with you wherever you go and with whatever circumstances you’re facing. May the Lord bless you and keep you safe from harm’s way everyday. In the mighty name of Jesus’s name, we pray, Amen.

God’s Final Invitation

Today’s Sunday Service was from the last book of the Bible, which is Revelation where John the Apostle describes the rapture of the church. The end times are real and coming soon. God’s Word is true, as we know the history of what has happened has already has come true. For example, Israel came back and is now a nation. We have the technology to put chips in people. We have the truth that God will return. Yet, many are still lost.

In Chapter 22, God gives us an invitation and a warning. We can either accept Jesus or deny him. Verse 13 God is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. There is no one greater, than God. If we want to dwell with Him, then we must follow Jesus, His son, the messiah, our Lord and Savior. Only through acceptance will we be with God. We were made to serve God daily and to shine for Jesus.

God is pure and the river of life. For whoever drinks from God will last forever. If we believe, then we can have life forevermore. The Bible is the basic instructions before leaving earth. We need to be ready for God’s return. We must not doubt God or His Holy Word. There is no other book like it. Jesus is coming! What will it take for you to believe?

Are you living for Jesus? Are you sharing Christ with others? Are you ready for Jesus to return? I pray that you will choose Jesus, so that God’s grace will be upon you. True life is only found in Jesus!

Fear Of The Unknown

Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the Lord all the day. Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. Proverbs 23:17-18.

Why do we let fear get the best of us? Sometimes we know we must do something, but we let the fear of failure hinder us from even trying. We don’t want to let others down, or even ourselves. If we know we don’t do well at something or it’s a weakness of ours, we tend to give in or give up because facing rejection is a sense of failure.

What if we took time to pray to God instead? By acknowledging Jesus in the dilemma, we can be rest assured our pain or agony of defeat will not be as bad. God can ease that pain, but only if we let Him into our lives. God can remove the fear of disappointment, but again only if we ask Him. Let Jesus help you conquer your goals in life.

Isn’t it better to try things God’s way? May the verses above from Proverbs 23 give you the courage to try new things and push yourself out of your comfort zone. Jesus is right there by your side ready to catch should you start to fall. God will never let you down. Stop letting fear of the unknown hold you back. Know that God has a plan for your life and it’s better than you could ever imagine. Renew your strength everyday by keeping your faith and hope strong in Jesus!
