Perspective

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change – James 1:17.

Society places value on worldly things, so we tend to want things. But it may not be the best thing for us. As a Christian, we know that everything we have is from God above. Nothing we own is ours, for it all belongs to God.

Only by trusting God can we see the real value of what is important in life. The only thing that you can take to heaven with you is salvation. Ask yourself, what do you want to be remembered for? Your love of power, money, fame, or a true relationship with Jesus Christ?

Sometimes, we need to step backwards in order to put things in perspective. Take time to pray, so you can then move forward by understanding God’s will for your life. Be thankful your alive, be grateful for what you have, and be blessed knowing you will see God one day.
