Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything – 2 Timothy 2:7.
This week went quickly, but I was reminded to take time to review homework with students before moving forward with new content. Technology courses often use pre-formatted projects where each step builds upon another. If you miss one task, then the rest of the projects may not be accurate. The issue is that there is usually is more than one way to complete a project in Microsoft Office.
However, if you give the student the solution to build a document, presentation, or spreadsheet a certain way, then each student can solve it. This type of critical thinking causes students to look at the overall plan to solve the solution, by breaking down each step. Today’s younger generation learns better visually by doing, as well as, by helping each other together.
